Nevistas Enters the Digital Music Distribution and Aggregation Market

Nevistas, a Toronto, Canada, and Guadalajara, Mexico-based software developer with a long history of proprietary software development in the hospitality, travel, and real estate segment, has entered the Digital Music Distribution and Aggregation Market with the launch of Traxfly. Traxfly is a One-Stop Do-It-Yourself Service for Musicians that allows artists and labels to distribute their music from one location – with just a few clicks.

Founded in 1998 by Thomas Wahl and initially focusing on the hotel industry, the Nevistas network has evolved into a leading online information and knowledge base for the hospitality & travel industries developing and utilizing proprietary software.

Nevistas collaborated with a collective of independent record labels and independent artists working with many different aggregators, looking for a solution that provided more ownership and direct involvement in managing their digital assets.

"The music industry has changed dramatically with the advent of streaming. Consumers now have a free record store on their phones and understandably no longer want to purchase music", said Jose Mondràgon, CEO of Scyon Records. "Streaming platforms are now one of the few channels our artists can monetize their music, and we were looking for a solution that provided more transparency and gives us additional controls."

Nevistas worked directly with these labels and artists to develop the Traxfly platform and financial models explicitly designed to help these artists.
